The coworkers and the boss are nice. The food was excellent and lots of vegan options. They even have it on their menu, so you won't have to ask for it. The Vis stand for vegan, not vegetarians. Which is a big plus for me because lots of restaurants only have it stand for vegetarians. The server was great for checking up on us, he also bring us extra sauce when we ask for it.
Also you should try their hot Indian tea :) so yummy
The place is also clean and good environment. -

Ooh I love Biriyani!!!!
I visited Austin after two years and almost forgotten what it feels like to be there. I was there for a short visit and was staying in a hotel. Coming form San Francisco you tend to over order food at Texas coz there is definitely more quantity for the price. And for the love of Biriyani! I've ordered thrice from this restaurant in two days.
Food:
This review for Zaika is solely for Biriyani! Biriyani tasted absolutely perfect. I love it when every rice grain is perfectly cooked and all the flavors of spice & chicken is absorbed. It was moist enough to hold together and dry enough that each rice grain could be easily separated. Simply put, Biriyani did not disappoint at all.
Wait time:
If you're in restaurant it's usually around 10 minutes but it can take up to 45 minutes for home delivery.
Would definitely come back if I'm in Austin again! -

Husband and I had dinner last night for the first time here and was pleasantly surprised. We've been looking for a good Indian restaurant for over 3 years and thanks to Groupon now I think we finally found it. The food was gorgeously presented. There was plenty of it. The chicken was a bit dry, but I have yet to find an Indian restaurant where the chicken isn't dry. The lamb was delectable, but the first thing that impressed us was their papa dam. It was the best we've ever had.
We'll definitely be coming back and soon. The staff was very friendly and courteous. I really like this place. -

It's not bad food, but it's not that good either and I think that's the best description for this place. The workers are extremely nice, welcoming and attentive, but the food is very average - the South Indian dishes (dosas, idlis, Hyderabadi biryani, coconut chutney, etc.) are their best items in my opinion so go with that if you're giving this place a try.

The food is delicious here and they have an extensive menu. If you're gluten free, highly recommend the masala dosa, biryani, Chanda masala, or idli. They are also knowledgeable about vegetarian and vegan options. The staff is really friendly. We've only been for dinner but are excited to try their lunch buffet too.
